The currency used is the Canadian dollar, which is divided in 100 cents. There are $5, $10, $20, $50 and $100 bills, as well as 1¢, 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, $1 and $2 coins.

Banking institutions are usually open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday to Friday.  It is, however, advisable to verify the opening hours by calling.
